Tawhid Mosque

Tawhid Mosque is located at 21 rue Gramat, in the Minimes district of Toulouse, north of the historic centre. It welcomes residents of the area for the five daily prayers and Friday prayer.

Getting there

Tisséo metro line B serves Minimes with the Minimes - Claude Nougaro and La Vache stations, less than ten minutes on foot from the mosque. Tram line T1 passes nearby via the Compans-Caffarelli stop towards the city centre. Tisséo bus lines 41 and the Linéo L1 express complete the grid towards Blagnac, Fenouillet and Toulouse-Matabiau station. By car, the northern ring road Sesquières exit is nearby, with on-street parking available in the surrounding residential streets.

The neighbourhood

Rue Gramat sits in southern Minimes, between the barrière de Paris and the Canal du Midi. The area combines an older Toulouse faubourg, small apartment blocks and recent developments along the main avenues. Halal butchers and Middle-Eastern grocers are well represented along avenue des Minimes and around the Cristal market. The Canal du Midi and nearby allotment gardens offer walking spots a short distance away.

Practical advice for a visit

The hall is modest in size, sized for local attendance. Friday noon quickly fills the venue, a first visit runs more smoothly on another day. Shoes come off at the entrance, women cover their hair, clothes should cover shoulders and legs. An area is provided for women. Quiet is expected from the door.
