The Font-Vert Mosque is the main place of prayer in the housing estate of the same name, in the 14th arrondissement of Marseille. It serves families in the neighbourhood for the five daily prayers and for the Friday prayer.
Getting there
Font-Vert lies in the north-east of the city, between Sainte-Marthe and Le Merlan. Public transport access is via metro line 2 to Bougainville or National, then a bus towards the estate. By car, the Merlan junction off the A507 leaves you a few minutes away. Parking on the estate's inner streets is easy to find.
The neighbourhood
The Font-Vert estate belongs to the larger Aygalades and Sainte-Marthe housing complex, built in the 1960s to house families who arrived during the city's industrial expansion.
