Getting there
TAG tram line A serves the district via the Malherbe stop, about ten minutes on foot from the mosque. Line C, at Neyrpic-Belledonne, is a second option. TAG bus lines C4 and 12 complete the service towards Échirolles and central Grenoble. By car, the southern ring road Capuche exit is closest, with on-street parking available in the surrounding residential streets.
The neighbourhood
Capuche is a residential district in eastern Grenoble, structured by rue du Général Ferrié and avenue Jean Perrot. The area combines older detached-house estates, small apartment blocks and sports facilities, including Charles Berty stadium and Paul Mistral park nearby. Halal butchers and Middle-Eastern grocers are mainly found along avenue Jean Perrot and around place Championnet.
Practical advice for a visit
The hall hosts an active community, Friday noon quickly fills the venue, a first visit runs more smoothly on another day. Shoes come off at the entrance, women cover their hair, clothes should cover shoulders and legs. An area is provided for women. Quiet is expected from the door.
