The AMF Cultural Center is located on rue de Curembourg, in Fleury-les-Aubrais, in the Lamballe district. It serves as the mosque for residents of the commune and hosts the five daily prayers and Friday prayer.

Getting there

Tram line A of the TAO network crosses Fleury-les-Aubrais, with Marcel Belot or Libération stops closest depending on the route. A short bus ride or a ten-minute walk gets you to the cultural centre. Les Aubrais station is less than ten minutes away by car, with regional TER and mainline connections. By car, the A10 Orléans-nord exit is nearby, and on-street parking is available in the surrounding residential streets.

The neighbourhood

Lamballe is a residential district of Fleury-les-Aubrais, marked by a mix of detached houses and small apartment blocks, within walking distance of the town's shopping core and public amenities. The activity zones north of the commune, including Cap Saran, gather major retail chains and many shops. Halal butchers and Middle-Eastern grocers are found along rue Marcellin Berthelot and near Place de la République. Bel-Air castle park and the canal d'Orléans offer walking spots a few minutes away.

Practical advice for a visit

The hall is modest in size and fills up quickly on Friday noon, a first visit runs more smoothly during the week. Shoes come off at the entrance, women cover their hair, clothes should cover shoulders and legs. An area is provided for women. The venue also hosts cultural and religious activities during the year, outside prayer times.

The AMF Cultural Center is the only listed Muslim place of worship in the commune. For other prayer halls, Ibn-Badiss Mosque in central Orléans, Assounah Mosque in the Argonne district, and the mosque of Saint-Jean-de-Braye can be reached in under fifteen minutes by tram or car.
