Al'Ihsane Mosque

Al'Ihsane Mosque, run by the Colomiers Muslim association, is located in the south of the commune, west of the Toulouse metropolitan area. It is the main Muslim place of worship in Colomiers, open for the five daily prayers and Friday prayer.

Getting there

Colomiers station, in the town centre, welcomes TER services on line C of the Tisséo Rail network, reaching Toulouse-Matabiau in about ten minutes. Tram line T1 serves Colomiers from Toulouse via Blagnac, with the Aéroconstellation stop on the eastern side of the commune. Tisséo bus lines, including the Linéo L3 express, complete the grid towards Tournefeuille and Toulouse. By car, the western ring road Colomiers exit or the N124 towards Auch are nearby, with on-street parking available close to the mosque.

The neighbourhood

The area combines detached-house residential fabric, small apartment blocks and business parks linked to the nearby Airbus sites. Colomiers, the Haute-Garonne department's second largest town, grew rapidly from the 1960s around the aerospace industry. Halal butchers and Middle-Eastern grocers are well represented along avenue Yves Brunaud and in the Perget district. Val Tolosa shopping centre and Perget park, a few minutes away, complete the local offer.

Practical advice for a visit

The hall hosts an active community, especially on Friday noon. A first visit runs more smoothly outside the main prayers. Shoes come off at the entrance, women cover their hair, clothes should cover shoulders and legs. An area is provided for women. Quiet is expected from the door.
