The Eyüp Sultan Mosque is the main place of worship for the Turkish Muslim community in Vénissieux. Located in the east of the commune, it is named after Eyüp Sultan, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad whose mausoleum in Istanbul is one of Turkey's most visited holy sites.

Getting there
The mosque is accessible by the bus lines serving Vénissieux, as well as tram Line T4, whose terminus is located in the commune. From central Lyon, several public transport routes reach the neighbourhood in about thirty minutes. The Lyon ring road and eastern bypass provide car access. Parking in the area can be limited, especially during Friday prayer hours.
Advice for visitors
As in any place of worship, appropriate dress is expected, and shoes must be removed before entering the prayer hall. Attendance peaks on Fridays and during religious holidays. Arriving early is recommended on these occasions.
