Mosquée Arrahma, also known as Mosquée des 3 Ponts, is located at 131 rue d'Anzin, on the border between Roubaix and Tourcoing. It welcomes worshippers for the five daily prayers as well as for the Friday prayer.
Getting there
Rue d'Anzin is a few minutes on foot from the Alsace and Roubaix-Charles de Gaulle metro stations (line 2). From Lille Flandres, line 2 serves the area in around twenty minutes. Several bus lines round out the network. By car, access is via the A22 and boulevard de Belfort.
The neighbourhood
The Trois Ponts area straddles Roubaix and Tourcoing, in a mainly working-class fabric inherited from the textile industry. Brick townhouses dominate, with small renewed courées. Halal shops, butchers and grocers are spread along the main streets of the area.
Practical advice for a visit
The hall welcomes both local residents and worshippers coming from neighbouring towns. A first visit is easier outside Friday noon and outside Ramadan Tarawih night prayers. Shoes come off before entering the prayer hall, clothing should cover shoulders and legs, and women cover their hair.
