Aicha Mosque

Aicha Mosque is located at 4 boulevard Jean Moulin, in the south of the Bellevue district in Nantes, on the boundary with Saint-Herblain. It welcomes local worshippers for the five daily prayers and Friday prayer.

Getting there

TAN tram line 1 serves the district with the Romanet stop, about ten minutes on foot from the mosque. Chronobus line C3 serves boulevard Jean Moulin with a stop right nearby. Bus lines 91 and 96 complete the grid towards Saint-Herblain and the centre. By car, access from the ring road exit 33 is via route de Vannes then boulevard Jean Moulin, with plenty of on-street parking available in the surrounding residential streets.

The neighbourhood

The south of Bellevue, on the boundary with Saint-Herblain, combines renovated 1960s housing estates, older single-family homes and small co-ownerships. Boulevard Jean Moulin, a major axis, separates Nantes from Saint-Herblain and gathers public amenities and shops. Place Mendès France, a few minutes away, brings together local shops and the Bellevue market. Halal butchers and Middle-Eastern grocers are well represented in the district.

Practical advice for a visit

The hall serves a local community attached to the mosque. Friday noon quickly fills the venue, a first visit runs more smoothly on another day, at weekday prayers. Shoes come off at the entrance, women cover their hair, clothes should cover shoulders and legs. An area is provided for women. Quiet is expected from the door.
