Koba Mosque lies in the Bourtzwiller district in the north of Mulhouse. As a local prayer venue, it welcomes residents of the district and the surrounding areas for the five daily prayers and Friday prayer.

Getting there

Bourtzwiller is served by tram line 2 of the Soléa network, with several stops in the district connecting to central Mulhouse in about fifteen minutes. Bus lines complete the grid towards Kingersheim and Illzach. By car, the A35 Kingersheim exit is nearby, with street parking available in the surrounding streets.

The neighbourhood

Bourtzwiller is a former village annexed to Mulhouse in the 19th century, which has grown into a working-class district in the north of the city. It combines the historic village core, workers' estates and larger housing blocks. Halal shops, butchers and grocers are numerous along Avenue de Colmar and in central Bourtzwiller. Parc de la Doller and the banks of the Rhône-Rhine canal offer family walking spots.

Practical advice for a visit

The hall is modest in size. Friday noon attendance fills the venue, a first visit runs more smoothly on another day. Shoes come off at the entrance, women cover their hair, clothes should cover shoulders and legs. A separate area is provided for women. Quiet is expected from the door.

Other mosques in Mulhouse
