En Nasr Mosque

En Nasr Mosque is located on Rue Schwilgué in Mulhouse, in a residential area between the Rebberg district and the southern part of the city centre. As a local prayer venue, it welcomes residents of the district and the surrounding areas for the five daily prayers and Friday prayer.

Getting there

Mulhouse-Ville station is a little over a kilometre away on foot. Soléa bus lines serve the district, and Mulhouse Gare Centrale tram stop, on line 3, is about ten minutes away by foot. By car, the A36 Dornach exit and the A35 motorway are nearby, with street parking available in the surrounding streets but limited during the week.

The neighbourhood

Rebberg is the former upper-class district of Mulhouse, with its large 19th-century villas built by the textile industrialists. Rue Schwilgué sits at the foot of the Rebberg, on the edge of the city centre and the Fonderie area. Halal shops, butchers and grocers are accessible in the centre and towards the Franklin district. Parc Salvator and the banks of the Ill river offer walking spots less than ten minutes away.

Practical advice for a visit

The hall is modest in size. Friday noon attendance fills the venue, a first visit runs more smoothly on another day. Shoes come off at the entrance, women cover their hair, clothes should cover shoulders and legs. A separate area is provided for women. Quiet is expected from the door.
