The Louanges Mosque is a Muslim place of worship in Montfermeil, located in the Bosquets sector, on the border with Clichy-sous-Bois. Its name refers to the notion of praise to God ("Al-Hamd"), very present in Muslim prayers.
A mosque of the Aulnay plateau
The Louanges Mosque welcomes worshippers for the five daily prayers and Friday prayer. It takes on particular importance during the month of Ramadan, with the nightly Tarawih prayers and iftar gatherings, as well as during the celebrations of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. It complements the offer alongside the Selimiye Mosque.
Montfermeil and its Muslim community
Montfermeil is a Seine-Saint-Denis commune of around twenty-eight thousand inhabitants, on the Aulnay plateau, about twenty kilometres east of Paris. The local Muslim community is diverse, with North African, West African and Turkish roots, particularly present around the Bosquets sector.

By car, the N3 and A3 are the main links to the metropolis.
Advice for visitors
As in any place of worship, appropriate dress is expected, and shoes must be removed before entering the prayer hall. Friday prayer and major religious holidays attract large crowds; arriving early is recommended.
