Mosquée Badr is the second Muslim place of worship in Avion, in the Lens basin. It welcomes worshippers for the five daily prayers and for the Friday prayer.
Getting there
The mosque is located at 6 rue Paul Éluard, in a residential area of southern Avion. The Tadao bus network serves the town and Lens station, a few minutes away by car, provides access to TER Hauts-de-France trains. The A21 motorway is reached through the Avion exit.

The area is mainly residential, with detached houses and a suburban housing fabric. Local shops, markets, halal butchers and grocers are accessible in the centre of Avion and in the nearby towns of Lens and Liévin. The mining basin listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site shapes the landscape.
Practical advice for a visit
The prayer hall is modest in size and the atmosphere is family-oriented. A first visit is easier outside Friday noon and outside Ramadan Tarawih night prayers. Shoes come off before entering the prayer hall, clothing should cover shoulders and legs, and women cover their hair. Quiet is expected as soon as you step inside.
