Armentières is a commune in the west of the Métropole Européenne de Lille, on the Lys river and bordering Belgium. With nearly 26,000 inhabitants, it is the main hub of the north-western part of the metropolitan area. Mosquée El-Ansar welcomes Muslims of the area for daily prayers.
